Our workout last night was the Dirty 30 Fix. I feel asleep writing this post, so we’re a little late. This workout isn’t bad. The first time we did it, I was terrified because the name sounds like it is going to be awful, but it isn’t. I need to learn how to properly do a squat and a lunge. Right now, I don’t really feel like I am doing it right, so I don’t think I am getting the best results from this workout. Our coach, Rebecca, showed me some tips the other night, and I tried to implement them into the workout. We have a large mirror in our workout room, so at one point in the workout, I turned to the side so I could see what I was doing. That has been helpful. I used to think people that looked at themselves in the mirror while they worked out were just conceded, but I get it now!
I did not do well on my food yesterday. I woke up late, and then we were busy at work, so I didn’t sit down to eat until after 4:00pm! By that time, I was starving! I was proud of myself though for staying away from the cookies and candy that were brought into the office yesterday; I talk about this in the video. Being in a group of people that motivate and support you is really helpful because I immediately messaged the group that I was feeling tempted, and they all helped me overcome it. I don’t think I would be able to do this journey without a group of people to hold me accountable and motivate me to keep pushing forward. In the past, Josh and I have tried to keep each other accountable, but in the end, we always convinced ourselves to eat what we wanted anyways. I’m thankful that we found Beachbody, not just for the workouts and Shakeology, but for the accountability and support that it provides.
We made Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Quinoa Casserole for supper…say that 5 times fast! I told you in our Instagram video that we would post the link in the blog, so here it is! The recipe is from Burn This Mama Down’s Blog. I made a few adjustments. First, we use a rotisserie chicken instead of cooking our own. Like I said above, we had a long day at work yesterday, so I wanted to make supper as fast as possible. We also didn’t have cumin! I don’t know how, we used to have like five jars! So, we used taco seasoning instead. We used a broccoli and cauliflower mix instead of just broccoli. It was a really great supper. The recipe says it makes 6 servings, but those are some big servings, so we will get more out of it I’m sure.
By the way, are you following us on Instagram?? You definitely should! Our name is @fitness_fighting_pcos and we are planning to share a supper video on Instagram every night. I know in the past this blog has not been super consistant, but I am motivated and determined to make this a part of my daily routine. We plan to post on Instagram multiple times throughout the day, create a post workout video and post to Youtube at night, and write a post about it as well. So, there are lots of good things coming! I hope you stick around!!
We will see you tomorrow for yoga fix day!! Josh’s favorite– NOT!
